Our Team
Teachers at Icare constantly listen to and observe children in the classroom to discover what interests them. We embrace and blend one of the best teaching styles – the Reggio Emilia – relying on supportive environment where children are invited for self-discovery. We use this knowledge to plan the curriculum and prepare the teaching tools and environment, while at the same time pursuing developmental improvement.

I’m an experienced childcare provider, with background in the medical field. After a year of working at Weiss Memorial Hospital, I realized my heart was missing small and touchable moments in a child’s life.
My role, as educator is immeasurable. I believe that individual attention is the single most important success factor. My job is not only to teach basic concepts of ethic, discipline and play, but also to teach my students- busy bees about compassion, sharing, and ambition, and what takes to reach our goals offering guidance along the way!
I really feel that teachers are the luckiest people on Earth because we are submerged in young souls all the time, every day!

I have been with Icare for about 5 years now. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development from DePaul University. I’m also very passionate about art & photography as I am working with young children. Watching young ones grow, learn, and become their unique selves is very fulfilling to me as a teacher and caregiver. I also enjoy providing children with the necessary tools to explore their artistic & creative sides with various arts & crafts projects throughout the years. I hope to continue caring for infants & toddlers alike and watch them explore, make friends as they grow, and help overcome any challenges they may encounter along the way.
